Confidentiality
All information that is discussed in the sessions between the client and I will remain confidential. Any information that I discuss during professional supervision and training is also confidential, and the client will remain anonymous and unidentifiable. I do not share information with anyone else or any other services, unless there are concerns of risk of harm to the client and/or others. The client’s safety and the safety of others is of paramount importance. Therefore, in such cases I will need to contact the relevant services and may need to share relevant information to ensure the safety of the client and/or others, and as part of good practice. If this were to be the case, the client would be informed. For these reasons, I will also request the name and contact details of the client’s General Practitioner (GP). I will discuss these issues further in the initial session, and both the client and I will sign a contract of agreement before commencing treatment.
Attendance, Lateness and Cancellation Policy
The sessions will usually take place on a weekly basis, unless it is mutually agreed that a longer gap would be helpful for therapeutic reasons. It is very important that regular attendance is maintained, to get the most benefit from therapy.
If you are late for a session, please contact me to notify me if possible. It is likely that we will go ahead with the session, however, we will need to finish the session at the time it was originally booked for. If I am late for a session, I will try to make up the time, if possible, otherwise I will reimburse you accordingly.
If you need to cancel a booked session, please provide me with at least 48 hours’ notice, so that I can offer the appointment slot to someone else. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will be expected to pay for the session in full. If you do not attend a booked session without notifying me, you will be expected to pay for the session in full.
If I cancel your session, I will try my best to offer you another.
All session payments should be made in full upon booking, before the session. If payment is not made at the time of booking, the slot will be offered to other clients.
