Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you

Ruji regularly attends training events and workshops to maintain her professional development and keep up to date with the field of CBT. She adheres to the code of conduct of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) in practising ethically as a CBT Psychotherapist, and she practices in accordance with the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines. As a requirement for all therapists, she has a qualified clinical supervisor with whom she can discuss her therapy work when required and ensure that she is practising ethically. Ruji’s supervisors also specialise in CBT, anxiety disorders, depression and addictions.

Ruji is continuing her professional development in the areas of Islamic Psychology and Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy through the teachings of the late Prof. Malik Badri (the Father of modern Islamic Psychology), the Khalil Center (USA) and the Cambridge Muslim College (UK). She receives regular clinical supervision from a qualified Clinical Supervisor specialising in Islamic Psychology/Psychotherapy, who oversees her work in this area. Ruji also undertakes weekly one-to-one Islamic classes with a qualified Islamic teacher and Aalimah from a UK Madrasah to further her Islamic knowledge.

The therapy that Ruji provides is UNIQUE and REAL – combining her professional knowledge and understanding of mental health with her lived experience. She provides a warm, non-judgemental, and safe environment, and individualises therapy in accordance with each client’s needs and goals. Ruji would like to encourage referrals from clients of all backgrounds.
